Welcome to the STS India Network, a community of scholars dedicated to exploring the intricate relationships between science, technology, and society across the Indian landscape. Historically, STS scholarship in India has thrived within the broad umbrella of the social sciences, and has often lacked a cohesive infrastructure. Our network emerges as a response to this fragmentation, aiming to provide a formal platform for collaboration, discussion, and research; while embracing the inherently interdisciplinary nature of STS scholarship.
At the heart of our mission is the promotion of STS teaching and learning, facilitating interdisciplinary dialogue, and fostering collaborative research endeavors. From organizing workshops and conferences to facilitating reading and writing groups, we strive to cultivate an environment that nurtures intellectual exchange and innovation.
